Volunteers

Welcome to the Volunteer Program at PACE of the Southern Piedmont!

As a volunteer, you’ll have an opportunity to both enrich others & be enriched through your caring interactions with our participants. Our participants are welcoming and wonderful people who enjoy many of the same things you do: companionship, conversation and activities—all of which you as a volunteer can offer.

Please peruse the pages of the website to help familiarize yourself with PACE and to prepare you for your volunteer experience.

Volunteering with PACE is a several-step process:

  • The first step is completing the Volunteer Application and returning it in person by appointment, so that you can sign a form authorizing us to conduct a Criminal History background at our expense. (This is mandatory of all PACE Volunteers and Staff for the safety of our participants.)
  • The second step is your PPD test (for Tuberculosis), which is administered by our Occupational Health Nurse at our expense.
  • Once you’re cleared for service, the third and final step is attending a PACE Orientation.

We are here every step of the way to assist and support you in finding a position that suits you and makes your experience a success, so that your service to members of our community will be both fulfilling and rewarding. We are available to discuss any questions, concerns or ideas you may have, so please don’t hesitate to contact us 704-887-3840

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with PACE of the Southern Piedmont and we look forward to your joining our team!
