How PACE helps seniors live independently

At PACE of the Southern Piedmont our goal is to enhance quality of life for seniors. Our caring, compassionate team of professionals help older adults live independently in their own homes. PACE, or Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, is a program designed for flexibility to meet a person’s health care needs while they continue to live safely in the community.

The PACE program is unique and aims to provide comprehensive health care services designed to enhance the quality of life and autonomy for older adults. Dignity and respect don’t have to be second thoughts when older adults are able live in their own home.

Everything you need in one place

Many of our services and care take place in one convenient location, the PACE Day Health and Wellness Center. We provide transportation to and from the center where seniors receive care from PACE Primary Care Physicians when needed, have all of their medications provided and managed, participate in a variety of rehabilitation programs, receive complete nutrition and even socialize.

Having all of your needs met in one place, with transportation provided, enables independent living at the home you love and eases the burden on family care takers at the same time.

Be social & enjoy life

Our programs are about so much more than simply physical health, but consider the health of the whole person, from emotional and mental health to social health as well! Our Wellness Center provides opportunities for seniors to socialize in a variety of ways with their peers. Socialization with peers can help reduce stress and even lengthen life spans along with many other benefits. It is an integral part of living a fulfilled life.

Get the assistance at home you need

Many seniors need help at home to cover some basic daily tasks. Each of our patients plan of care is unique and can include home health services as needed. From basic help like getting out of the home and into transportation vehicles, to more involved assistance like nursing help. This truly allows for aging in place, keeping seniors at home where they want to be. PACE is a variable alternative to a nursing home for up to 95 percent of those who apply.

Independence is vital to living with dignity, PACE allows older adults to live independently, preserve their dignity, and live a fulfilled life they enjoy while getting all of their needs met.
